Hull College lockdown live: 'Threatening call made' as police scrambled
June 19, 2026

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers are in attendance at Hull College after we were called today (Friday, 19 June 2026) following reports that a phone call was received by the college in relation to bomb threats.
“As a precaution the school made decision to close the college early at 2.30pm. We take all threats like this extremely seriously and are investigating the incident fully. Whilst initial enquiries are still ongoing, we do believe at this stage of our investigation this to be a hoax.
“Anybody with any information that could assist us with our enquiries is asked to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 226 of 19 June.”
