Everything you need to know about when the final season of The Bear will be released

1. The hit FX series The Bear is officially coming to an end with its fifth and final season dropping on Disney+ this Friday, June 26.
2. The smash-hit show follows talented chef Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) as he tries to reinvent his Chicago restaurant following his brother’s tragic death. With help from chaotic cousin Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and ambitious sous-chef Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), the restaurant’s grand opening was a success despite mixed reviews.
3. Season 5 picks up after Carmy’s emotional confession that he’s quitting the restaurant and leaving his share to Sydney, Richie, and sister Natalie aka ‘Sugar’ (Abby Elliott). The remaining team must scramble to secure that coveted Michelin star without their head chef.
4. According to the official synopsis: “With no money, the threat of a sale and a torrential storm in their way, the new partners must band together with the rest of the team to achieve one last service, hoping they’ll finally earn a Michelin star.”
5. All eight episodes will be released at once on Disney+ at 8am UK time on Friday morning. Regular cast members including Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson return, alongside appearances from Oliver Platt, Will Poulter and Jamie Lee Curtis.
6. Fans can also catch a surprise hour-long flashback episode titled Gary, featuring Richie and Jon Bernthal as Carmy’s late brother Mikey, which Disney+ recently released ahead of the finale.
