Experts claim there’s a secret tape of ‘Invasion of Washington’ UFO meeting — and public will soon hear it

Pols and experts claim that there’s a long-unheard secret tape of an “Invasion of Washington” UFO briefing – and they say the public could hear it very soon.

A tape recording a 1952 conversation between Air Force officials and scientists on unidentified flying objects is soon to be released, Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.) told a room of UFO transparency advocates at Disclosure Forum 2026.

While the recording is now supposedly in the possession of MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory, the push from the cosmically-minded congressman has guaranteed that it’ll be revealed to the public, he said.

UFO transparency advocates applauded Burlison for confirming the existence of the recording, saying that he’s a dogged ally in the pursuit for greater openness from the government about unidentified aerial phenomena.

“He’s stopped asking politely. He knows where certain files are. He’s demanding answers,” Disclosure Foundation Executive Director Jordan Flowers told News Nation.

Flowers told News Nation that he thinks the tapes record a long-rumored but never-before-heard discussion about a series of UFO sightings that shook Washington DC in the summer of 1952.

That July, a slew of UFOS were spotted by eyewitnesses, including pilots, in the air around DC– providing fodder for wild speculation as to what was hovering above Nation’s capital.

People speculated they could be advanced communist technology from the Soviet Union or even little green men in flying saucers.

But the Air Force eventually shot down the conjecture, saying at a press conference at the end of the month that the weather was to blame for the sightings.

But UFO transparency advocates say that the tapes’ release is a big one for those who want the government to be more transparent with its citizens about what’s really out there.

“The gloves are coming off, in terms of pushing for transparency, and knowing where these things are and pulling them out of the right structures,” Flowers said.
