Episode two of season three saw Rhaenyra Targaryen finally return to King’s Landing to take the Iron Throne.
It’s been a long time coming. Fans have been eager to finally see how Rhaenyra would take what she believes is rightfully hers.
When the opening finally presented itself, the face of the Targaryens acted with blitzkrieg speed to take King’s Landing without much combat.

Without getting into all the spoilers, there is a death at the end of the episode…….that is grisly, to put it politely.

- Daemon could have least put her crown on before walking to the Throne.
- Yall are watching the beginning of the end of the Targaryens. It’s meant to be the tragedy of a dynasty falling apart.
- Queen Rhaenyra: Sister it’s not what it looks like.
- If it wasn’t apparent before, definitely is now that it’s all downhill from here for the Targaryens.
- Her acting was soo good throughout the entire episode made me feel like that it’s all real and wtf is going to happen in the upcoming episodes no idea
- This should’ve been a defining moment for her and instead felt more like a pity party that everyone felt embarrassed to attend
- She has the throne now. Let’s see if she can rule.
- That was so good man
- That episode was probably the best since season 1
- Absolute chills
- It’s a great episode and people still keep moaning how they made her look weak simply because she showed emotion and cried. Get a grip.
- You can FEEL the emotional weight as she goes up the stairs!
- At this point I feel like Daemon would make the stronger ruler. A true Targaryen.
- I hate that they made Rhaenyra so hesitant to kill her enemies; she should be a raging storm of vengeance. Emma D’Arcy is a force of nature, though. They’ve been absolutely nailing it with a screenplay that doesn’t really allow them to show how powerful the character was intended to be.
- She looks uncomfortable on the throne but I’ll take it. Better than the smug look of entitlement Cersie and her son had.
- Peak episode oh my lorddd
- What an episode! One of the best across all of the series.
