Three players the Nets could land in free agency, or using their cap space in a trade: 

Mitchell Robinson

After the Nets dealt Nic Claxton, Day’Ron Sharpe is the nominal center. But he’s started only 21 career games — seven last season — and isn’t a shot blocker. Robinson — who The Post’s Stefan Bondy reported is unlikely to re-sign with the Knicks — is a rim protector who would give the Nets their best rebounding one-two punch ever. He’s projected to earn $13 million to $15 million annually; do the Nets go higher to get him?

Keon Ellis

The Nets are sorely lacking a point-of-attack defender, and there’s no guarantee Drake Powell ever grows into that role. OKC has an embarrassment of riches in Cason Wallace and Lu Dort, but the more under-the-radar Ellis — who played in Sacramento when Nets coach Jordi Fernández was a Kings assistant — could provide at least a reasonable facsimile of that off the bench at a cheaper price point.

Trey Murphy III

The Nets have $40 million in cap space and could use that in trades. Wallace and Jaylen Brown might be unlikely, but Murphy — who league personnel believe is willing to leave New Orleans — could be high on the wish list. The sweet-shooting wing would cost multiple first-round picks, but The Athletic’s Sam Amick reported the Nets and Clippers may be the favorites among a long list of possible suitors.
