A Philadelphia teen wanted in the shooting death of Penn State student Billy Schmidt was found hiding out at a distant relative’s home thousands of miles away after a nearly month-long manhunt.

Azzubair Outen-Fleming, 16, was captured in Colorado Springs by the US Marshals Service Colorado Violent Offender Task Force despite trying to deny his identity on Wednesday, the US Marshals Philadelphia branch announced.

Outen-Fleming was identified alongside Kaiseem Smith, also 16, as the two teens accused of ambushing and fatally shooting Schmidt on the streets of South Philadelphia at around 1:30 a.m on June 6.

The teen suspect was arrested hours after his stepfather, Donte Abdulmalik, was taken down for allegedly helping Outen-Fleming escape the East Coast for the Colorado hideout.

Schmidt had been walking home from an NBA Finals watch party at a local bar when Outen-Fleming and Smith approached the student.

Outen-Fleming allegedly grabbed Schmidt’s phone before punching his victim and going through his pockets, District Attorney Larry Krasner said.

Surveillance footage from the South Philadelphia street captured the two masked goons pushing Schmidt off the road and knocking him to the ground before walking away.

The college student, who had just finished his third year at Penn State University, went after the two guys, pleading for his phone before Outen-Fleming allegedly chucked the device down a street.

The two teens split up as Schmidt continued to follow Smith, who allegedly pulled out a gun from his back pocket and allegedly fired the fatal shot, striking Schmidt in the chest.

Both suspects walked away from the shooting scene and hopped into an SUV before fleeing the area.

Schmidt was transferred to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Abdulmalik, 35, was accused of assisting in transporting his stepson out of Philadelphia and to Colorado.

He was arrested Wednesday and charged with hindering apprehension, obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence.

Smith, the 4-foot-10 murder suspect, remains at large as officials have offered a $5,000 reward for his capture.

Both teens are now facing charges for murder, robbery and conspiracy to murder among other crimes, according to the DA’s office.

Before the teens were captured, Schmidt’s grieving father called for justice for his son’s alleged killers.

“I want to find the two people and make them pay,” Bill Schmidt previously told WPVI.

Schmidt, who was studying digital journalism and media at the Penn State World Campus in Centre County, was remembered by his family for his kindness.

“He was a really good person who cared about everybody and never hurt or bothered a soul, never hurt anyone and for him to get shot like that is a travesty,” the older Schmidt told the outlet.
