Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Rosalía watch Spain crush Austria at World Cup

Once again, the stars came out to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles for a historic World Cup match.

Even though the United States was not on the field, plenty of celebrities filled the luxury suites and premium seats for Spain’s 3-0 win over Austria in a Round of 32 showdown on Thursday afternoon.

Spain’s celebrity contingent turned one side of the stadium into its own version of a Catalan celebrity row.

Global music superstar Rosalia took photos with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who somehow managed to add yet another World Cup appearance to his seemingly impossible travel schedule.

Spanish football royalty was well represented as well, including 2023 Women’s World Cup winner and three-time Ballon d’Or recipient Alexia Putellas.

Seated next to her were Carles Puyol, David Villa, Fernando Hierro and Míchel Salgado. They all watched their country put on its latest World Cup masterclass.

The A-list audience was rewarded with another dazzling performance from teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, who delivered a brilliant assist, claimed Man of the Match honors and helped Spain cruise to a comfortable victory over Austria.

Every clever touch seemed to bring another roar from the crowd, and even the celebrities couldn’t help but rise to applaud.

The famous faces extended well beyond Spain’s contingent.

Rams head coach Sean McVay took in the action, joined by Olympic rugby star Ilona Maher, LAFC legend Carlos Vela, late night host James Corden and former Lakers great Derek Fisher.

The entire World Cup jointly hosted by the U.S., Canada and Mexico has drawn plenty of celebrities, and this Round of 32 match was no different.
