Suspected shark attack at NY beach leaves swimmer’s ‘bone’ exposed: sources

A swimmer’s “bone” was left exposed after what lifeguards believe was a shark attack at Jones Beach Friday afternoon, sources told The Post.

The beast took a bite off the man’s foot around 12 p.m. at the state park’s Field 6, sources said.

The attack was minor enough that the swimmer was able to escape and report his gory wounds to the lifeguards.

“Dude’s bone is showing,” a witness, who did not want to be named, said.

“His foot was bleeding a lot.”

A lifeguard wrapped the man’s foot in a shirt and he was transported by EMS.

The man did not see the giant fish, but lifeguards believe it was a shark.
