Erika Kirk speaks out just hours before she’s set to face husband Charlie’s accused assassin Tyler Robinson in court

Charlie Kirk’s widow and grieving family spoke out about the “darkest days of our lives” as they prepare to face his alleged murderer in court for the first time Monday.
“Charlie was a beloved husband, son, brother, friend, and father. Every court proceeding serves as a painful reminder of his death and the loss that has irrevocably impacted our lives and the lives of his children,” read a statement from Charlie Kirk’s parents, Robert and Kathryn, sister, Mary, and widow, Erika.
“We remain deeply grateful for the support, prayers, and kindness we have received. This outpouring has sustained us during the darkest days of our lives,” the statement continued.
“Out of respect for the judicial process, we will not be commenting further at this time. We ask for continued privacy as we navigate this process and immense grief.”
Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, 23, will appear in court Monday for a preliminary hearing where prosecutors will lay out their case against the alleged gunman, who is accused of shooting the Turning Point USA founder while he was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in September.
The hearing is expected to last all week.
