Lionel Messi’s wife Antonela shares 5-word reaction to Argentina’s miraculous World Cup comeback

Argentina’s men’s soccer team produced one of the greatest comebacks in recent memory against Egypt in their Round of 16 World Cup showdown on July 7.

While it’s hard to fathom that the defending World Cup champions would ever be underdogs to Egypt, there’s no doubt that they were underdogs after falling behind 2-0 against Egypt.

Then Argentina stormed back with three goals after the 78th, including an awesome goal from Lionel Messi to tie the game at 2-2 before Enzo Fernandez won the game with a header in the second minute of stoppage time to win the game.

Regardless of how this World Cup ends for Argentina, this game will always be remembered for Argentina fans, especially those who were in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Tuesday.

One of these fans was Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, who took to Instagram to share her reaction to the miraculous win soon after it happened.

Roccuzzo posted a photo of her and her three sons with Messi, all of which were wearing Argentina Messi jerseys. Another photo showed Argentina throwing Messi in the air after the game, along with several other photos of Antonela.

The post was captioned, “Vamos Argentina 🤍🩵 @leomessi ya no quedan palabras 🥹🩵🤍”. This translates in English to “Let’s go Argentina 🤍🩵 @leomessi there are no words left”.

Roccuzzo saying, “there are no words left” is the perfect way to encapsulate the magic that Messi produces in the pitch during essentially every game, to the point where spectacular moments like what Argentina did against Egypt almost feels ordinary.

But Roccuzzo, nor any other true soccer fan, is taking Messi’s greatness for granted while we still get to witness it live.
