Someone new is here to stir the pot on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

The first episode of RHOC Season 20 aired on Thursday, and there is already massive drama. The addition of the new cast member, Carmella Garcia, seems to already have the cast ready to fight.

The premiere of RHOC Season 20 showed the main cast members getting back into the groove. The episode begins with the return of OG cast member Vicki Gunvalson, living her best life in Puerto Vallarta.

The end of the episode features Heather Dubrow reuniting the entire group for her “Hearts & Heels” party, where we get our first look at the shifting dynamics within the cast. At the end of the episode, there’s no resolution to the rising tension between Heather and Tamra Judge, setting up what is guaranteed to be an exciting season!

Who is Carmella Garcia?

Carmella is the new cast member for season 20 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. According to Bravo, Carmella is a realtor/developer who “makes fast friends, but some of the women question her choices and motives.”

In the new season, expect Carmella to be ready for some confrontation, especially after an awkward first meeting with Vicki.

Did Carmella Garcia pose for Playboy?

In her confessional, Carmella makes the comparison between Heather’s party and the Playboy mansion. It appears Carmella was having flashbacks. Back in the day, Carmella modeled under her maiden name, Carmella Decesare.

According to PEOPLE, Carmella got her start on a reality show in the early 2000s, Who Wants to Be a Playboy Centerfold. Later, she went on to be featured on multiple Playboy magazine covers and was even featured in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue! She was named Playboy‘s Playmate of the Year in 2004. Why does Vicki Gunvalson not like Carmella Garcia?

Well, Vicki infamously is tough on the new cast members.

Although it’s not yet clear why Vicki and Carmella don’t get along, the preview for this season features Vicki stating, “I don’t like new girls.” Later, we see a glimpse of an uncomfortable dinner conversation between the two where Vicki says to Carmella, “I started this franchise.” Carmella shadily responds to Vicki, “Everything has an expiration.” Ouch!
