Police are searching for a wacko who randomly punched a straphanger in the face inside a Queens subway station last week, according to authorities.

A 65-year-old man was entering the turnstiles at the Sutphin Blvd-Archer Avenue subway station in Jamaica around 3:20 p.m. on Thursday when an unidentified individual approached him, according to the NYPD.

The stranger then slugged the man in the face and fled the scene on foot, cops said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital by emergency responders in stable condition, police said.

Cops released images of the suspect, who was wearing a white T-shirt, a green baseball cap, and a dark-colored backpack.

The alarming assault comes roughly a month after another 65-year-old man was shoved onto a subway platform while on board a northbound 1 train at the 28th Street station in the early hours of June 2.

Authorities urged anyone with information about Thursday’s incident to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
