Ashley Williams Got “Every Single Detail” About Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding From Her Sister Kimberly Williams-Paisley: “Some of The Best Tea Around”

Ashley Williams may not have scored an invite to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding, but her older sister and fellow actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley did, and certainly delivered on the debrief.
The Christmas at Sea stopped by DECIDER’s studio on Wednesday (June 8) to chat about the latest season of the docuseries chronicling last year’s Hallmark Christmas Cruise, less than a week after Swift and Kelce tied the knot at Madison Square Garden. Williams posted a video to Instagram on the day of the wedding of her dancing around to Swift’s “Lover” as Williams-Paisley strutted in her wedding fit.
“My invitation might have gotten lost in the mail, no idea why. 😍😍😍,” Williams cheekily captioned the post.
“Yeah, you know, us little sisters, we have an important job,” Williams told DECIDER last week. “When your big sister has a big event to go to, you gotta be there. You gotta be there to support in the hair and makeup department, and by support, I mean dance around like a total weirdo and make faces and squeal a lot. So I did my job, I worked to distract her and remind her of the reality of the situation.”
Williams assured us that her sister “had a great time” at the wedding, which made for a great
“The best part was that the next day was 4th of July, and we got to sit there and we ordered bagels and we watched the boat parade, and she told me every single detail of the wedding from the night before, and that was some of the best tea around,” she teased.
Williams-Paisley also shared the same video to her feed, along with pictures of her and her husband, country artist Brad Paisley, along with picture of the couple with Seth Meyers and wife Alexi Ashe and a video from the morning after. Paisley and Williams-Paisley also shared that Swift and Kelce made a donation to The Store, their Nashville non-profit that provides free grocery support to those in need in the community.
The two sisters last teamed up onscreen in 2021 in Hallmark Channel‘s Sister Swap movies; specifically, Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday and Sister Swap: Christmas in the City. But Williams, who has directed two episodes of ABC‘s The Rookie, said she would be more than happy to join her sister on the network’s 9-1-1 spinoff, 9-1-1:Nashville.
“I love that you’re saying this on camera, and how can we get this video to Ryan Murphy?” she teased of the 911 franchise creator. “Yeah, I mean I had this idea because Chad Lowe and Rob Lowe worked together on Lone Star and now Chad Lowe is the producing director of 9-1-1 Nashville, and I’m like, ‘Chad! I think you’ve got a really good model.’ I think she really needs a good sister role.”
Williams said she thinks her sister’s character, Cami, “needs a sister, a little rebellious, strangely dancing, awkward, but very supportive little sister character who needs to make an entrance on 9-1-1 Nashville.” She only has one caveat for the role… but would be willing to forgo it.
“I hope it’s not too violent and doesn’t require too much fake blood,” she claimed. “But if it does, I’m there. I’m there. I accept.”
The next episode of Christmas at Sea streams on Hallmark+ on Wednesday, July 15.
