Fran Drescher swears by this $22 primer for mature skin: ‘Everyone I know has to have this’

Laura Geller knows it’s all about that base.

Fran Drescher is a longtime fan of the New York-based beauty brand, which is designed with mature skin top of mind. And her latest obsession is the line’s Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer, which she considers a key part of her glam routine.

“Everyone I know has to have this,” she told InStyle of the skin care-makeup hybrid, which is designed to nourish and hydrate skin to create a smoother canvas for makeup.

“It’s a lovely moisturizer and it spackles before you apply your foundation base,” the 68-year-old brand ambassador added in a separate interview with People, raving that the the ingredients “make your skin happy.”

“I find that it just keeps makeup on for so long and so beautifully, you rarely have to do anything to it — including powder,” she concluded.

Plenty of Amazon shoppers also have great things to say about the lightweight, non-greasy formula, which is currently 40% off — and backed by over 600 five-star reviews.

“As you get older your skin get dryer and more textured,” one wrote. “This primer was a game changer for me. It blurs and my makeup doesn’t settle in my skin at all.”

Drescher’s a longtime fan of the brand, wearing it for everything from the SAG Actor Awards to the Golden Globes earlier this year. (The latter look included Geller’s Jelly Balm Hydrating Lip Color, which hydrates without settling into fine lines.)

Martha Stewart, Bethenny Frankel and Tia Mowry (to name but a few) are fellow Laura Geller fans.

“[The products] are truly mistake-proof and incredibly versatile,” Geller told Page Six Style earlier this year. “You can use them in more than one way, which makes getting ready simple and fun.”
