Popular supermarket to make its US debut in OC’s $1 billion Great Park project late 2026

A wildly popular Asian grocery giant that just made its California debut is already hungry for more.
T&T Supermarket will open its first Southern California location inside The Canopy, a new shopping and dining hub under construction in Irvine’s Great Park, according to Secret Los Angeles.
The 34,000-square-foot supermarket is expect to open in late 2026.
The Canadian-based chain arrived in the Golden State last month when it opened a store at San Jose’s Westgate Center.
Its Irvine outpost will feature fresh produce, seafood, Asian beauty products and specialty ingredients spanning Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other Southeast Asian cuisines.
T&T is particularly known for its restaurant-style prepared foods and sprawling bakery counters.
Shoppers can expect Peking duck, a barbecue station, sushi counter and make-to-order Chinese crepes and Taiwanese-style rice rolls.
The bakery will serve more than 150 types of bread and dozens of pastries and deserts, including Portuguese egg tarts, mango pomelo Swiss rolls and lava mochi puffs.
The store will anchor The Canopy, a 90-000-square-foot retail destination designed to be an “all-day destination” inside the billion-dollar mega-project
In-N-Out Burger, Philz Coffee, The Taco Stand, H&H Bagels and SHOOTZ are also expected to open there.
The Canopy will begin opening in phases later this year before a broader rollout in 2027.
The larger Great Park project is transforming the former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro into one of the biggest urban parks in America.
Once completed in 2029, the park is expected to span roughly 1,300 acres — significantly larger than New York City’s 843-acre Central Park.
Plans include two enormous lakes with cascading waterfalls, museums, a botanical garden, sprawling sports facilities and a permanent 10,000-seat amphitheater.
The city estimates the park could eventually attract more than 7.5 million visitors annually.
