A woke, taxpayer-funded exhibition in the UK has claimed one of the Care Bears is transgender, sparking outrage for sexualizing kids’ toys.

Creators of “Villiers Revealed” — a project funded by Arts Council England, a public body which is sponsored by the UK Government and hands out grants to artists and museums — praised the beloved kids’ toys for having “queer resonance,” the Telegraph reported.

“Having a character like Funshine who transitions, with a positive characterisation, sends a strong message to those going through a similar change,” organizers said of the supposedly trans Care Bear.

Funshine first appeared on greeting cards in the early 1980s and was voiced by female voice actors in the early television series of “Care Bears.”

But it was voiced by a male in the 2004 film “Care Bears: Journey to Joke-a-Lot,” leading to debate about its gender online.

The exhibition, developed by Culture Leicestershire, called the bear a “symbol for the LGBTQA+ community” and praised the franchise for how it apparently “disrupt[s] gender norms through their expression of their true selves but are accepted regardless.”

The woke exhibition has been slammed by charities that promote children’s welfare.

“Here we go again, Arts Council England has funded an exhibition by Culture Leicestershire which says that Care Bears are ‘transgender or gender fluid’ and a ‘symbol for the LGBTQA+ community,’” the Family Education Trust, wrote on X.

“Taxpayers should not be funding blatant attempts to sexualize children’s toys and promote false gender ideology.”
