But we don’t have to wait until the weekend for the premiere of an exciting new series because Fightland is about to drop on Starz!

Created by Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith, and executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the series centers on Duke Kilroy (Howard Charles), a former world heavyweight boxing champion who ends up in prison after a devastating event. After his release, Kilroy returns home to seek vengeance on the man he believes set him up: his former promoter and criminal kingpin, Kingsley Marshall (Nicholas Pinnock).

Per Starz, “Kingsley has vanished, leaving his children and wife, Joy (Deborah Ayorinde), who happens to be the love of Duke’s life, to pick up the pieces.”
