The good news is that after a lengthy hiatus, Sheridan’s hit spy thriller Lioness — starring Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Morgan Freeman — returns with Season 3 on Sunday, August 2. The bad news? Yellowstone fans will have to wait a while before beloved spin-offs Marshals and Dutton Ranch return. But we have an important update!
Since the Luke Grimes-led drama aired its eventful Season 1 finale on May 24, fans have been tuning into CBS on Sundays, wondering when they’d be reuniting with Kayce (Grimes), Cal (Logan Marshall-Green), Belle (Arielle Kebbel), Cruz (Ash Santos), Miles (Tatanka Means), and the rest of the Marshals crew.

Technically, yes! But there’s no new episode of Marshals airing on Sunday, August 2. If Marshals fans tune into CBS at 10:00 p.m. ET, however, they can watch a re-run of Season 1, Episode 10, “Playing With Fire.”
How Many Episodes Are In Marshals Season 1?
Marshals Season 1 consisted of 13 episodes, which means Episode 13, “Wolves at the Door,” which aired May 24, was the season finale.
Will There Be A Marshals Season 2?
You bet! In March 2026, ahead of its third episode, CBS announced a very early Marshals Season 2 renewal after the series premiere became the “best network TV launch since 2017” and “most streamed CBS espiode ever.”

When Is Marshals Coming Back With New Episodes? Marshals Season 2 Release Date:
We had high hopes that CBS and the team would aim to deliver new episodes ASAP, and it seems our wishes came true! On April 15, 2026, CBS announced its 2026-2027 fall primetime schedule and confirmed that Marshals would return in fall 2026. The exact Marshals Season 2 release date is Sunday, October 4.
What Time Does Marshals Season 2 Come Out?
According to CBS, Marshals is set to return at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 4. The Season 2 premiere will follow an NFL doubleheader and 60 Minutes, so timing may vary. And Tracker‘s Season 4 premiere is set to air after Marshals.
Will There Be A Dutton Ranch And Marshals Crossover?
