Fauci’s COVID Senate hearing: Letters to the Editor — Aug. 5, 2026

The Issue: Anthony Fauci invoking the Fifth Amendment 111 times during his Senate hearing.
Anthony Fauci is not a doctor (“Founders’ Fauci Fix,” Josh Hammer, PostOpinion, Aug. 3).
He holds an MD degree, but the first tenet of the Hippocratic Oath is “Do no harm.” It would be a fruitless search to find any individual who has harmed this country more than the feckless Fauci. Our children lost two years of education and socialization that they may never recover from.
Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than a mobster kingpin would. There was no defense of his actions or any explanations.

Fauci is a national treasure. His research on HIV and other viral diseases have saved millions of lives globally.
Do you know who should be behind bars? Your lying, corrupt felon of a president, who has increased his assets by more than $2 billion.
Fauci has more brains in the tip of his pinky than all the MAGA senators have in their heads.

Many liberals are continuing to support Fauci’s actions throughout COVID, saying that Republicans are demonizing him.
Fauci’s own words show how vacuous and unserious a person he truly is. Like a teenage girl, he was gobsmacked by celebrities blowing him kisses.
Everything he advised had virtually no basis in science: masking, distancing, school closings, the origin of the virus and the efficacy of the vaccines.
His bad reputation is a result of his own heinous actions.
Charles Sitero
Ormond Beach, Fla.
How come none of the Sunday morning shows had any mention of Fauci’s 111 Fifth Amendment pleas?
When will we see anyone held accountable for COVID? The media is right up there with Fauci, backing his lies and not reporting the truth.

Fauci’s despicable hearing performance, where he invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times, is not surprising.
His greed and visceral narcissism impacted the mental and physical health and the educational development of American children. More than 1 million Americans needlessly died.
This megalomaniac was more concerned with himself and his notoriety than the health, safety and welfare of his fellow people.

The best punishment for Fauci is to change COVID’s name to the “Fauci Pandemic.”

The Issue: Rama Duwaji associate Susan Abulhawa saying the Holocaust “has lost its meaning.”
Susan Abulhawa is a very scary person (“Mam wife partner’s Holocaust taunting,” Aug. 3).
She said the Holocaust lost its meaning and the whole world is sick of hearing about it — no, we are not. Losing sight of history allows it to repeat itself — which I am sure is what she wants.
She says there is an extreme overrepresentation of Jews in every branch of the country, further illustrating her racist obsessions.
This lady is a cancer to our society. When will the New York Jewish population say enough is enough and stop voting for the Democrats who spit in their faces?

It takes a particularly base character to complain about Jews “whining” over the Holocaust. Six million Jews were exterminated in the most barbaric ways. Families were ripped apart, never to see loved ones again.
Jews do not have to justify their values or emotions to a radical Palestinian. And our contributions to American society in medicine, arts, education and more do not need her endorsement.
