No, like, seriously: The first two episodes of The Shards came out at the same time, on Wednesday, August 5. The next two episodes — The Shards Episodes 3 and 4 — were released on FX and Hulu a week later. So two episodes should have come out last night, right? Wrong! Only one episode, The Shards Episode 5 “Murder on the Dancefloor,” came out at 9 PM ET on FX and Hulu on Wednesday, August 19.

What gives? Well, it beats us. Unlike The Shards’s fictional version of Bret Easton Ellis (Igby Rigney), we don’t feel up to the task of playing Nancy Drew on this case, no matter how many times we’ve read Joan Didion’s The White Album.
