The on-again, off-again Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua fight is taking another bizarre twist. 

Fury posted on social media that his scheduled fight with Joshua is now being called off because of Joshua’s promoter, Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn, whom he called “money-thirsty pieces of s–t.” 

The Gypsy King accused Hearn of wanting more money from Saudi boxing investor Turki Alalshikh in a fiery rant.

“Quick update: Doesn’t look like they’re going to sign the fight,” Fury said on social media. “Doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. All because Eddie Hearn and that want more money.”

Fury then showed off his fury — literally.

“They’ve already had that much money off of Turki in the last few years, Eddie and AJ. They’ve had boxing deals, darts deals, snooker deals, they’ve had everything,” Fury continued. “And yet they’ve had the audacity and cheek of flea-bitten rats to ask for more money from Turki, who’s given you everything combined in the last couple of years.

“You’re disgusting, money-thirsty pieces of s–t. It is what it is, same old cliché a decade later, keep running you, little cowards.”

“You’re not man enough to stand in my world,” Fury concluded.

There have been loads of disagreements over this fight, as UFC/TKO Boxing President Dana White said he was promoting it, which Hearn later said was inaccurate and that he would promote it. 

Reports then leaked that the fight was set to take place at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 20, which Hearn has staunchly opposed.

Hearn has repeatedly said the bout must take place in the United Kingdom, but Fury sees this as just a negotiating tactic rather than an actual hard line in the sand. 

“All this talk of, ‘We want the fight in England, we want this, we want that.’ It’s only to get more money to go to America,” Fury added.

Hearn has confirmed this, saying that he wants Joshua to receive an increased purse to cover taxes in America. 

White has appeared frustrated in recent press conferences when asked about who was promoting this fight, saying he wasn’t “playing these games with these guys.” 

Fury is now threatening to fight another opponent in November instead of Joshua.

“I’d drink 20 pints and still beat the f–k out of you,” Fury continued. “I won’t be bothered for you or 50 men like you, that’s a f–king fact. Cause I’m the f–king Gypsy King, and I’ll tear you to pieces, you piece of s–t. You and your f–king full team. Eddie Hearn’s a whore, they’re all f–king scumbags. All scumbags!”

Joshua is coming off a pair of TKO victories, first over Jake Paul in a fight that was largely uncompetitive and a mismatch by weight class standards. 

The second over Kristian Prenga in July.

Fury had more or less a tune-up bout against Mariusz Wach in June, a TKO win in the seventh round due to retirement.
