Influencer Mama A dies in horrific crash that also killed young Marine
Popular influencer Mama A has died in a horrific two-vehicle crash in Alabama that also killed a young US Marine.
Alyshia Rushing, a 26-year-old mom of four with more than half a million followers on TikTok, was killed in the crash on I-85 in Montgomery at around 2:15 a.m. pm Saturday, with a female passenger in her SUV hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, WAKA Action 8 News reported.
Landon Dunn, a 20-year-old Marine driving the other vehicle, a pickup truck, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Rushing was a parenting influencer who built her following as Mama A by posting about her life as a mother of four, with her final post just a day before the fatal crash.
“There are no words that can fully express the pain of losing someone so suddenly,” wrote one of Rushing’s loved ones in a GoFundMe set up after her death.
In one of her final TikTok videos, posted a day before her death, she shared a sweet video of domestic life with one of her children, showing her son vacuuming as she washed up.
“Thinking about her kids. Man, my stomach is hurting,” one user wrote.
A GoFundMe has also been set up for Dunn by his best friend, fellow US Marine, Robert Howard.
“Landon and I worked together in the US Marine Corps for a year and a half, and losing him at only 20 years old has been devastating,” Howard wrote.
The exact circumstances behind the crash remain under investigation.
Montgomery Police Department didn’t respond immediately to requests for comment.
