Somber Miley Cyrus arrives at LA studio in first outing since godmother Dolly Parton’s death

Miley Cyrus appeared somber as she headed back to work in her first outing since the death of her godmother, Dolly Parton.

The “Flowers” songstress was photographed arriving at a Los Angeles studio to film a forthcoming project on Wednesday afternoon.

She kept her head up high, wearing oversized black sunglasses as she made her way inside the building.

Cyrus, 33, also wore a black T-shirt, jeans and flip-flops for the casual outing, styling her blond hair up in a chic messy updo.

She carried an Erewhon smoothie and was joined by two others.

The Grammy winner stepped out hours after addressing Parton’s heartbreaking death via an emotional Instagram statement, writing, “The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share.”

“Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts.”

Cyrus teased that she’d likely write up a song about her heartbreak, adding, “What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong.”

“I have an angel by my side,” she added. “I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis.”

“I will always love her and want to make her proud,” Cyrus continued. “My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply. We’re in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things.”
