Rumer Willis’ ex accuses actress of blocking access to their 3-year-old daughter
Derek Richard Thomas, Rumer Willis’ ex-partner, is alleging that the actress is actively preventing him from bonding with their daughter, Louetta.
According to a new court document filed on Thursday, Thomas claims that Willis, 38, has “done everything in her power to interfere, block and frustrate my relationship with Louetta,” per People.
The declaration, filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, offered instances when the “DWTS” alum allegedly prevented him from seeing their child.
Thomas also denied Willis’ previous allegations that he abused drugs while looking after Louetta.
“I reject completely and without reservation Respondent’s claims concerning my alleged abuse of drugs, any conduct on my part that endangers Louetta, and any failure at efforts to cooperate with her and to co-parent Louetta,” Thomas wrote.
Last June, Willis, who is the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, was granted primary physical custody of Louetta after she accused him of domestic violence.
The exes agreed to a custody evaluation and joint custody, with Thomas initially being granted supervised visits every other weekend, which would transition into overnight visits with no supervision.
Additionally, the exes were ordered to attend co-parenting counseling and communicate through a designated co-parenting platform.
The ruling came after Rumer accused Thomas of “incessant domestic violence.”
In documents filed in May, the “Sorority Row” actress alleged a “persistent pattern” of “insane emotional abuse” in front of their daughter.
“He engaged in ongoing coercive control through prolonged circular verbal attacks that he is unable or unwilling to stop,” she alleged, adding that she would “walk on eggshells” around him.
“[He] engages in this type of attack for over six hours at a time on what became a daily basis,” she continued. “He wanted to isolate me from my friends and family. He constantly called me a liar with no reason behind it. He told me I was a bad girlfriend all the time.”
According to Rumer, her ex’s decisions left Louetta “traumatized” and “crying a lot.”
Moore also seconded her daughter’s claims, detailing in court documents how he allegedly “appears to want to dictate and control Rumer’s environment to his needs,” alleging that she overheard Thomas “berate and angrily complain to Rumer” shortly after their daughter was born in 2023.
Thomas vehemently denied the allegations, claiming that Rumer threatened to “destroy” him the day of Louetta’s birth.
The couple debuted their relationship in 2022 before splitting two years later.
Willis recently documented her move from Los Angeles to Nashville.
