Fitness wearable leader WHOOP expands to health screenings and cancer detection
WHOOP‘s latest endeavor extends far beyond their acclaimed fitness and sleep tracking.
The brand recently announced they’ll be providing access to Galleri, GRAIL’s multi-cancer early detection test, and making WHOOP Advanced Labs available without a membership.
Customers receive one blood draw, available at nearly 2,000 Quest Diagnostics locations across the U.S., for the cancer screening. The test — analyzed at GRAIL’s laboratory in North Carolina — can detect cancer signals associated with over 50 types. Once the results are in, the data is delivered via the WHOOP app with other health insights and educational resources to determine next steps if necessary.
“By making multi-cancer early detection available through trusted platforms that are part of people’s everyday health journeys, we can help more people take a proactive step toward finding cancer earlier, when treatment may be more effective,” said Megan Hall, PhD, Vice President of Medical Affairs at GRAIL.
Beyond cancer screenings, WHOOP Advanced Labs offers more blood tests and AI-powered insights pertaining to cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal and inflammatory health. Each test is reviewed by a clinician and accompanied by personalized recommendations.
Advanced Labs launched just last year, but according to WHOOP, eight in 10 users report discovering important health information, and more than half receive results that may lead them to schedule a follow-up with a healthcare provider. Some of the findings include elevated cardiovascular risk, insulin resistance, prediabetes or diabetes, elevated lipoprotein(a) and hormone-related conditions.
The service is available at a competitive price of $150, compared to similar assessments upwards of $3,000.
“A deeper, earlier understanding of our health gives us a greater ability to shape what comes next,” said Dr. Ami Bhatt, Chief Medical Officer at WHOOP.
“WHOOP Advanced Labs gives people access to comprehensive, clinically reviewed testing that often isn’t part of a routine physical and historically has been available through concierge medicine, executive physicals, or specialty clinics. By making that level of testing more accessible, we’re helping more people better understand their health and make earlier, more informed decisions.”
WHOOP’s latest health endeavor is just another notch on their belt. The company has built a strong reputation due to its 24/7 wearable with a 14-day battery life. The device — often worn around the wrist or arm — provides fitness, blood pressure, sleep, recovery and more data.
Those who wear their WHOOP consistently are empowered to take control of their health. According to the brand, people who wear WHOOP daily log more than 90 additional minutes of exercise per week, get over two extra hours of sleep, and have 10% higher heart rate variability.
Don’t wait until the “new year, new me” mentality sets in before setting yourself on a path to better wellness. Spend the latter half of 2026 right by learning more about how your body works with WHOOP.
