Is the A24 Movie ‘Onslaught’ Streaming on Netflix or HBO Max?

Adria Arjona is getting bloodied up in her new pulpy, R-rated A24 action thriller Onslaught, which opens in U.S. theaters nationwide this weekend.

Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Simon Barrett—who also collaborated on the 2014 action horror flick The GuestOnslaught tells the story of an Army sniper named Celeste (Arjona), who is forced to bring out the big guns to defend her trailer park home from a group of super soldier killing machines, who escape from a nearby secret military base. If you loved Dan Stevens in The Guest, good news: Stevens is in this film, too, as Dr. Hans Kammler, and Wingard has confirmed that Onslaught takes place in the same town and universe as The Guest. Intriguing!

Also starring Eric Wareheim, Reginald VelJohnson, Michael Biehn, Alex Pereira, Drew Starkey, and Rebecca Hall, Onslaught promises to be a blood-splattering good time, especially when watched on the big screen. But if you’d rather wait to watch it at home, then read on to learn more about when and where we expect to be able to watch the Onslaught movie on streaming.

Where to watch the Onslaught movie:

For now, Onslaught will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters nationwide in the U.S. on Friday, September 4. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. The Onslaught movie is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Is the Onslaught 2026 movie streaming on Netflix?

Onslaught is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix in the U.S. any time soon, due to the fact that the film is being released by A24 in the U.S., and the 2023 deal between A24 and Warner Bros. Discovery, brings all A24’s previous and upcoming theatrical releases to the Warner Bros. streaming service HBO Max. If you want to watch Onslaught at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on HBO Max.

If you’re new to HBO Max, you can sign up for as low as $10.99/month with ads, but an ad-free subscription will cost $18.49/month.

If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the discounted Disney+ Bundles with Hulu and HBO Max. With ads, the bundle costs $19.99/month and without ads, $32.99/month.

When will the A24 movie Onslaught be streaming on HBO Max?

You might see the Onslaught movie streaming on HBO Max around early January 2026.

Onslaught is not yet streaming on HBO Max. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see Onslaught streaming on HBO Max eventually—thanks to the A24 and Warner Bros. deal—but we’re not sure when.

The A24 deal is a “Pay-1 deal,” which means A24 movies will start streaming on Max in the “Pay 1 window,” meaning that Max will be the first “TV channel” to pay for the rights Onslaught after the film has been released on digital and home media. One recent A24 title, The Drama, began streaming on HBO Max about four months after its release in theaters.

If Onslaught follows a similar release strategy, you might see Onslaught on digital in about a month, around early October 2026, and streaming on HBO Max in about four months, around early January 2026.

This is all speculation. The A24 digital and streaming releases have varied by title. If you want to watch Onslaught right away, you can catch the movie everywhere in U.S. theaters on Friday.
