For just the second time in Stanford and Miami’s history, the two schools are meeting on the gridiron.

This time around, Micah Ford and the Cardinal look to continue their winning ways after a thrilling 37-27 victory over Hawaii in Tavita Pritchard’s first game as head coach on Saturday, Aug. 29.

They’ll have their work cut out for them, though.

The 2026 College Football Championship runner-up Hurricanes come into the game ranked seventh by The AP with hotshot transfer starting quarterback Darian Mensah and a projected 24.5-point advantage.

“We’re excited about this upcoming week because it’s another chance to learn about ourselves and grow,” Pritchard said Monday. “It is about us and about what we do, but at the same time, you can’t lose sight of the talent that’s across the ball from you, the schemes they run and the personnel and making sure you can find a winning edge there.”

As fans may recall, Stanford and Miami’s first-ever showdown was in October last year. Miami won that contest 42-7.
