NY Giants fans have NFL’s foulest mouths — while Jets fans love to complain, study finds
They’re New York nasty.
New York Giants fans are the most foul-mouthed in football, according to an analysis by ActionNetwork.com.
And New York Jets fans are champion complainers, the survey found.
Big Blue’s fanbase, smarting from back-to-back last-place finishes in the NFC East, had more swear words in comments on their subreddit — 14.98% — than any other.
“I feel like we’d win 40-0, get blown the f—k out Week 2, and feel course corrected,” one fan opined about what to expect in their first game of the season, a Monday night home showdown against the Dallas Cowboys.
Another salty fan wrote of their second game of the season: “I’m going to that game too . . . But nah f–k it, we’re winning week 1 too! . . . F—k the Cowboys!”
Typical of Gang Green and their fans, they can’t even be No. 1 at what they’re best at — bitching and moaning about the Jets’ pathetic 15-year playoff drought, the longest in all of pro sports.
They come in at No. 2 — behind the Debbie Downers of the Indianapolis Colts (26.32%) — for being the NFL’s most negative fans.
Some 25.76% of comments made by Jets fans were negative, data showed.
The Cincinnati Bengals fanbase placed third with 25.63%.
The sports media and analytics company reviewed 2.5 million comments left on the subreddits of all 32 NFL clubs between August 2025 and September 2026.
The Jets’ first game of the 2026 season will be on the road against the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 13. True to form, fans are already trash-talking their own team.
“We’re gonna lose [to] the Titans and then have to deal with a week of insufferable” comments about Titans coach Robert Saleh, who used to coach the Jets, one supposed supporter wrote.
Some Jets fans want the losing to continue unabated.
“In all honesty I’m not thirsty for a winning season this year,” a fan wrote. “I’d still rather the team go 0-17, lock up the #1 pick, get their franchise QB and be done with it.”
It appears not all New York NFL fandoms are nasty — Buffalo Bills fans ranked as the most polite, with only 10.7% of their comments containing swear words.
