Over the past seven years, Post NFL handicapper Dave Blezow has turned a profit on his prop offerings in the season preview.

In 2025, he went 3-1, winning with TreVeyon Henderson Over 700.5 rushing yards (he had 911), Caleb Williams Over 3,625 passing yards (3,942), and Commanders Under 9.5 wins (5), while losing on Giants Over 5.5 wins (4).

The overall record is 17-11 heading into these intrepid wagers for 2026:

David Bailey Over 5.75 sacks (PrizePicks)

In the past 10 years, the NFL’s rookie sack leader has totaled between 8.5 and 13 sacks, the high mark set by Micah Parsons in 2021. So 5.75 sacks seems a very low bar for Bailey to clear.

He should get that many on his speed and power alone, but his Jets teammates could also help him out. New nose tackle T’Vondre Sweat figures to require a double team, and Will McDonald IV will need to be watched on the other end. It also would be nice if Geno Smith, Breece Hall, and Garrett Wilson could score enough to force the opposition to pass for four quarters.

Arvell Reese 4+ sacks (-114, DraftKings)

The Giants grabbed Reese after the Jets selected Bailey, and now these two will be joined at the hip at MetLife Stadium for some time into the future. Now, Bailey is an edge rusher, and Reese is an off-ball linebacker, but there’s an inherent, if unspoken, competition between these teams.

I believe if Bailey starts to rack up the sack numbers, the Giants will unleash Reese to give him a chance for his. So this is one angle that could produce two winners.

Drake Maye Over 3,799.5 passing yards (-120, DraftKings)

I know there are a lot of people who believe the Patriots had it too easy last season and are in for a wicked bad regression. But Maye threw for 4,394 yards, and now he has a true No. 1 receiver in A.J. Brown, along with reliable Romeo Doubs. New England also added Alijah Vera-Tucker to the offensive line, and Will Campbell should protect better.

Lions to win NFC North (+175, DraftKings)

The Lions are chalk in the division, but I believe they are going to run away with it this season. The Bears are not going to have a +22 turnover differential with 33 takeaways again; the Packers start without Parsons and Josh Jacobs, and the Vikings are on a lower tier. The Lions are loaded and aren’t far removed from a two-season record of 27-7.
