Pete Alonso hits game-tying blast against Mets for 300th career homer

The Polar Bear finally broke the ice in Queens.
Pete Alonso, hitless through almost two full games in his return to Citi Field with the Orioles, blasted a solo home run — the 300th of his career — in the ninth inning on Tuesday off the Mets’ Kodai Senga to tie the game at 3-3.
He fired his bat toward the third base dugout and let out a loud yell as he got to home plate.
Alonso, greeted with cheers throughout the first two games of the series, received a curtain call from Mets fans, and he came out of the dugout and raised his hand in recognition.
