Dolly Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, who announced her death in August, has been removed from his longtime security post at her estate.

Seaver received a notice informing him that he and his security companies were immediately dismissed from all of Parton’s properties, according to TMZ.

The outlet reported that the former head of security was delivered the notice last week, and that new security teams were immediately put into place at Parton’s main residence in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as her museum, downtown residence and warehouse.

Seaver shared with TMZ that he and his team were “dismayed by the unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions” taken since Parton’s death, adding a statement that warned changes to the estate may be undertaken in “bad faith.”

“We remain unshakably resolved to fulfill [Parton’s] final directive to protect her family, and we refuse to be intimidated by those whose actions we believe are being taken in bad faith and with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much,” they added.

TMZ noted the termination letter, while releasing Seaver of his duties, does not eradicate his personal interest in Parton’s trust, which covers her business interests and properties.

A rep for Parton did not immediately get back to Page Six for comment.

Seaver, the son of Parton’s sister Cassie, was famously the relative chosen to break the news of the beloved icon’s death at age 80 on Aug. 25. He announced the news an Instagram video posted to Parton’s account.

“I am representing the Parton and Owens family today, announcing the passing of my Aunt Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean. Sister, Sis and Aunt Granny to one generation and Gigi to the next,” Seaver said.

“As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now,” he added.

“It is an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly.”

“By her example, we believed that anything was possible,” he went on. “She never saw a door she couldn’t open and the doors she opened made and changed history. My family and I have shared a lifetime of beautiful memories with Dolly, but so have you.”

Seaver also said the country music icon called him before her death and told him her final wishes for being laid to rest, requesting a “bed of plush cotton.”

“After a life wearing heavy rhinestones, she finally deserves to be comfortable and have some rest,” Seaver touchingly explained.

Parton’s death came after a secret battle with cancer. The “I Will Always Love You” singer was laid to rest in a private funeral service in Nashville, three days after her death.
