During a Shield of the Americas Event, President Trump jokingly pitched a plan to fix Cuba by having an aircraft carrier drop Secretary of State Marco Rubio off on the island on the way back from Iran, telling the crowd that Rubio “will figure out the rest”. The remark prompted laughter and cheers from Rubio, who is of Cuban descent and has been leading negotiations regarding the communist nation.
