An enraged nut job slashed a soccer rival in the face during a heated argument in a Bronx park, police said Sunday. 

The pair was playing soccer in St. Mary’s Park before a verbal tiff exploded, sending the assailant into a rage, near Trinity Avenue and East 147th Street around 7:35 p.m. July 13 in Mott Haven, police said. 

The maniac then slashed his victim in the head before fleeing the scene. 

Medics took the injured man to NYC Health+Hispitals/Lincoln, where he was listed in stable condition. 

The NYPD said the wounded man did not know his attacker’s name.

Police released details of the violence along with surveillance footage of the suspect Sunday afternoon, describing him as an 18- to 22-year-old with a medium complexion, long black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt, brown shorts and gold shoes. 

Surveillance footage captured him running out of the area after the gruesome attack.
