Will There Be A ‘Neagley’ Season 2? Prime Video Renewal Status of The ‘Reacher’ Spinoff
Neagley made quite the impression on Prime Video subscribers.
The Reacher spinoff, which centers on Maria Sten‘s Frances Neagley, has landed a second season at the streamer, just over two weeks after the series made its debut. Neagley follows the titular private investigator in Chicago, who sets out to find justice for her friend after he’s been killed in a mysterious accident.
The series sees Neagley team up with Detective Hudson “Rats” Riley (Greyston Holt), Renee Birdwhistle (Adeline Rudolph), and Keno (Jasper Jones). Matthew Del Negro and Damon Herriman also rounded out the cast, with guest appearances from Reacher himself (played by Alan Ritchson).
Neagley marks an expansion of the Reacher universe, which was adapted from Lee Child’s book series. While visiting DECIDER’s studio ahead of the premiere of Neagley, Sten explained that she “definitely felt that there was a responsibility of not only staying true to the show that we had created, but also the books, of course, most importantly, that Lee Child had written.”
“So I feel a tremendous amount of responsibility and pressure to get it right and not disappoint the fans, of course,” she added.
Meanwhile Holt noted that he, Rudolph, and Jones—whose characters don’t exist in Child’s books—still “wanted to honor the tone and the Reacher world.”

“So I think we had a little bit of creative license to make them completely our own, but with still honoring the world. It was a beautiful thing to see Maria, who’s lived in this character for so long, and to work opposite from her, and for her to take us all under her wing, and introduce us to this world. So yeah, thanks
Their work ultimately paid off, as Neagley Season 1 reached 40 million viewers globally in its first 13 days on Prime Video. According to the streamer, the series ranks as the #4 most-viewed series debut of any original series in Prime Video’s history.
Neagley Season 1 is streaming now on Prime Video.
