Man killed, passenger critically injured in Brooklyn crash as cops hunt driver who fled scene
A man was killed early Monday and his passenger left critically injured following a three vehicle crash in Brooklyn – as cops hunt for a driver who fled the scene.
The man, 62, was behind the wheel of a 2023 Toyota Camry when it was rear-ended by an Audi A5 at around 12:10 a.m. on Ocean Parkway, cops told The Post.
The Camry then went into a spin and struck a 2021 Toyota RAV 4 before both vehicles collided into the trees.
The 62-year-old Camry driver was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, while his passenger, a 39-year-old woman, was critically injured having sustained neck and back injuries, police said, without identifying the victims.
NYPD confirmed the RAV 4 driver, 25, sustained minor injuries, while the Audi driver fled the scene.
Witnesses said several people were inside the Audi at the time of the collision, according to WABC.
No arrests have been made.
