Amy Robach turned down job offers — including major network gig — for fiancé T.J. Holmes

Amy Robach has put her personal life first — even at the cost of her broadcasting career.

A source exclusively told Page Six that the ousted “Good Morning America” anchor was “in talks to take over” Deborah Norville’s role at “Inside Edition” when she left the show in 2025.

“She was the frontrunner,” the insider claimed of the position, which ultimately went to Robach’s ABC News colleague Eva Pilgrim. “They really wanted her, but it didn’t work out.”

While the reason is unclear, a second source told Page Six that Robach, 53, has turned down job offers because her fiancé and former “GMA3: What You Need to Know” co-host, T.J. Holmes, 49, wasn’t involved.

“She was offered many jobs but kept declining because T.J. wasn’t getting offers,” the source said. “She wanted to do something with him.”

The two currently host their iHeart Radio podcast, “Amy & T.J.,” which launched in 2023.

Page Six has reached out to “Inside Edition,” Robach and Holmes for comment.

Robach and Holmes were first photographed getting close to one another in November 2022.

Both were legally married to their respective spouses — Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig — at the time. Shue and Fiebig then began dating in 2023.

On Dec. 5, 2022, the anchors were pulled off-air while an internal investigation of their relationship was being conducted by ABC.

They never returned to their hosting duties and on Jan. 27, 2023, a statement was issued addressing their departure.

“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News,” the statement from ABC News President, Kim Godwin, read at the time. “We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”

Later that year, the two reunited and addressed the controversy when they launched their podcast.

“There were days when I wanted to die,” Robach said in their premiere episode, calling the time “a year of hell.”

“We’re the folks who lost the jobs we love because we love each other,” added Holmes.

Both made it clear they were ousted from the network and denied cheating on their significant others at the time.

Holmes said on a December 2023 episode of their podcast, “To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case.”

Robach and Holmes got engaged in September 2025.

Page Six confirmed they filed for a marriage license in Holmes’ home state of Arkansas — though they have yet to officially tie the knot.
