Some of the biggest movies premiering this fall are headed directly to streaming, including Ben Affleck’s new political thriller Animals, which is out this week on Netflix, and John Cena’s latest, Matchbox: The Movie, arriving Friday on Apple TV.

And while we’re excited to catch these brand-new movies, two big box office hits from the past few months are also now available to stream: you can catch Steven Spielberg’s alien epic Disclosure Day exclusively on Peacock and the Amanda Seyfried-Sydney Sweeney thriller The Housemaid on HBO Max.

Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.

New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Animals, Disclosure Day, Matchbox: The Movie and more

This week marks the arrival of several big movies to streaming. Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington star in Animals, the new Netflix film that Affleck co-wrote and directed. On Apple TV, you can tune in to Matchbox: The Movie, the latest film to give your childhood toys a narrative arc. John Cena, Jessica Biel and Sam Richardson co-star. And on Peacock, you can see Disclosure Day, Steven Spielberg’s box office hit about a meteorologist (Emily Blunt) and a cybersecurity expert (John O’Connor) who work together to expose the existence of aliens. The film is streaming exclusively on Peacock starting this week.

New on Netflix October 8: Animals

Directed by Ben Affleck, Animals is a crime thriller that follows Los Angeles mayoral candidate Mark Kimball (Affleck) and his wife, Abigail (Kerry Washington), as their lives unravel after their son’s (Christopher Woodley) kidnapping. Forced to come up with a ransom payment but low on funds due to Mark’s campaigning efforts, the couple must dirty their hands with choices and revelations they can never take back in order to scrounge up the money before it’s too late.

Steven Spielberg’s latest sci-fi epic, Disclosure Day, is an ensemble starring Emily Blunt as a meteorologist and Josh O’Connor as a cybersecurity analyst who work together to expose the existence of extraterrestrial life. Colin Firth plays the government contractor on their trail who is trying to silence them. The film arrived on demand earlier this summer, but now you can stream it on Peacock, too.

In Matchbox: The Movie, John Cena stars as a spy named Sean Walker who reunites with a group of childhood friends who are then accused of stealing a nuclear weapon. Of course they didn’t do it, but the only way to clear their names is to actually steal the bomb and make sure it ends up in the right hands. Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro and Teyonah Parris co-star in the action-comedy which is out today.
