Why Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s ex Ken Urker slept ‘with a gun every night’ in days leading up to tragic death: sister

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s late ex Ken Urker’s sister, Autumn, claimed he “had to sleep with a gun every night” because of the relentless online bullying he faced before his tragic death.

Autumn told the Daily Mail in an interview published Thursday that Ken, who passed away on his 34th birthday on Oct. 1, allegedly took precaution to protect himself while he was dealing with intense public scrutiny over his relationship with Blanchard, 35.

In texts reviewed by the outlet that Autumn claimed were from her brother, Ken allegedly confessed that he carried a weapon because he was getting “death threats” and “doxxed.”

Autumn clarified in the interview that Ken did not carry a gun out of fear Blanchard — with whom he shared 1-year-old daughter Aurora — would harm him.

However, Autumn said she blames Blanchard for the cyberbullying Ken experienced.

After Ken was found dead at his Louisiana home, Blanchard, who has said she she believes Ken died of an overdose, provided evidence of the online harassment her late ex endured earlier this week.

She posted a Reddit forum which allegedly mocked Ken’s appearance, sexuality and questioned the status of the pair’s relationship.

Blanchard also launched an online petition called Kenan’s Law in Ken’s honor, with the goal of “changing the way social-media platforms handle repeated reports of harassment.”

Autumn, for her part, claimed that before Ken died, he confided in her and some friends about his stress, including his problems with Blanchard. Autumn said she warned Ken about Blanchard, but her advice “fell on deaf ears.”

Additionally, Autumn alleged that when she spoke to Ken on the phone the night before his death, he made plans to check in with loved ones the next day.

“I told him that the kids were going to call him on FaceTime to wish him a happy birthday later and he’s like, “Alright, have them call me,”‘ Autumn said, insisting she doesn’t think her brother took his own life.

“I don’t think he would ever do this to Aurora or my mother, and the family doesn’t think he did this on purpose, either,” she shared.

Autumn further slammed the “narrative” that Ken died by suicide, noting it’s “very hurtful” to their family.

“I’m trying to respect my brother and give him dignity,” she said. “That’s why I’m being open, because that’s not fair to him.”

Autumn also claimed that their family invited Blanchard to Ken’s private memorial viewing in Louisiana last weekend because they’re worried she’ll stop them from seeing Aurora.

“When I spoke with my mother, she was in tears telling me that we have to be nice to Gypsy or she won’t let her see Aurora,” Autumn told the Daily Mail, adding, “My mom is a very forgiving person and I’m just not at that stage right now.”

Autumn said she regrets not attending the viewing on time, but claimed she said her “goodbyes” from the parking lot and will “absolutely” be at Ken’s funeral.

Page Six has reached out to Blanchard’s rep for comment.

Page Six exclusively reported that Blanchard will be attending Ken’s funeral in Texas, despite her tension with Autumn.

“Gypsy and his family are fine and have been grieving together,” a source told us. “She has been welcomed to his Texas funeral.”

Autumn previously slammed Blanchard after Ken’s death, claiming the “Life After Lock Up” star was lying about Ken being found dead after he failed to respond to her happy birthday text.

But Blanchard shut down Autumn’s allegations, telling Us Weekly in a statement that “it is no secret that Autumn did not approve of Ken’s relationship with me, and there has been significant tension between us.”

Page Six exclusively reported that Blanchard and Ken broke up one month before Ken’s death because he was struggling with mental health problems.

However, we heard the pair were peacefully co-parenting their daughter Aurora, and were in constant communication about matters regarding their child.
