Inside Dolly Parton’s $8M Hollywood Hills hideaway with sweeping LA-to-ocean views

Dolly Parton’s former Los Angeles hideaway could be yours for a whole lot of 9 to 5 paychecks.

The late country legend’s former Hollywood Hills home has hit the market for $7.95, according to People.

Parton and her husband, Carl Dean, bought the four-bedroom, six-bathroom property in 1985 for $750,000 and sold it five years later for $1.2 million, according to Realtor.com.

Now, the 4,689-square-foot pad is back up for grabs — with a price tag more than 10 times what the couple paid for it. Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency alongside Edward Tinney of Nourmand & Associates are the listing agents for the property.

The home sits on a 0.35-acre lot in the Bird Streets, the celebrity-favored enclave tucked above the Sunset Strip.

It is hidden behind an unsuspecting garage, giving it the kind of privacy fit for one of music’s most recognizable stars.

But inside, the views are anything but subtle.

The living and dining rooms are lined with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out toward Downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.

Those rooms open to a terrace overlooking the home’s pool and spa, with outdoor space meant for entertaining.

The primary suite is its own mini-retreat, with a coffee bar, two bathrooms, a steam shower, an office, a gym, a walk-in closet, a fireplace, a private spa and a deck with panoramic city views.

The kitchen comes with Miele double ovens, a six-top burner, a 48-inch Sub-Zero refrigerator, a microwave and a wine fridge.

The property also includes a Zen trail and garden at the top of the lot.

There’s a two-car garage with private access, custom cabinets and wiring for an EV charger, along with four additional parking spaces.

Parton and Dean’s years in the Hollywood Hills home came during their famously private marriage.

The couple met in Nashville in 1964 and married two years later. Dean died on March 3, 2025, and Parton died August 25, 2026, at age 80.

Though Dean stayed mostly out of the spotlight, the pair renewed their vows at their Nashville home in 2016 to mark their 50th wedding anniversary.

The Hollywood Hills spread if one of several homes Parton owned over the years, including a California weekend escape in Solvang and a lavish New York City penthouse.
