Oregon’s USC Trojan horse jab before facing UCLA ages brutally

The Oregon Ducks were worried about the wrong Los Angeles team before facing UCLA on Saturday.

Before kickoff against the No. 21-ranked Bruins, the No. 13-ranked Ducks’ cheer and dance squad brought a replica of a Trojan horse onto the field.

It remained there for a few moments while audio from Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” film could be heard on Autzen Stadium’s speakers.

Then Oregon’s duck mascot, jumped out from the horse’s backside, mimicking the film’s iconic siege of Troy.

It would have been a solid skit if the Ducks were playing the USC Trojans. But that game was two weekend ago.

Instead, they were playing UCLA. And they proceeded to lose to the Bruins 17-15.

Videos of this whole skit are going viral on social media, largely with people mocking Oregon for being two weeks late to their troll against USC (whom they beat in a thrilling and controversial game) right before losing to the Bruins.

The now 3-2 Ducks are now on the outside looking in of the College Football Playoff picture.

And perhaps Oregon’s mascot should have stayed inside that Trojan horse on Saturday, or never entered it in the first place.
