Jets vs. Browns: Preview, prediction, what to watch for in Week 5
An inside look at Sunday’s Jets-Browns Week 5 matchup at MetLife Stadium:
Marquee matchup
Jets WR Garrett Wilson vs. Browns CB Denzel Ward
There has been a lot of chatter this week about Wilson only getting four targets last week.
That number should jump this week, but Wilson will be facing another Ohio State legend in Ward, who is rated as the No. 1 cornerback in the NFL by Pro Football Focus this season.
“Really good player, opportunistic player that just the ball comes his way, if you’re not on your stuff on offense, he’s going to make you pay,” Wilson said of Ward.
“He’s always got a premium on the football is my takeaway from watching them. He’s someone I’ve gone against before and he’s a great player. He brings out the best, so I’m excited for it.”

Key stat
0: Interceptions thrown by Jets QB Geno Smith this season.
He is just the third quarterback in franchise history, since the merger, to open a season with at least 100 pass attempts and zero interceptions through their first four games.
Costello’s call
The Jets need this one. If they fall to 1-4, the season is going to spiral.
I think the Browns are a bit overrated, and the Jets find a way this one.
Jason Sanders kicks a late field goal to win.
Jets 20, Browns 17
