15-year-old girl injured in shooting just blocks from NY governor’s mansion in Albany

A 15-year-old girl was shot and wounded just blocks from the New York governor’s mansion in Albany.

The teen was shot in the leg around 6:35 p.m. Wednesday on the corner of Ash Grove Place and Trinity Place – only three blocks from the sprawling manor where Gov. Kathy Hochul lives on Eagle Street.

First responders treated the young victim at the scene and then took her to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Times Union reported.

No arrests have been made, and the motive behind the incident remained unclear.
