Trans neo-Nazi teen accused of Hindu temple mass shooting plot will get hormone treatments in jail: judge
A transgender 19-year-old alleged neo-Nazi accused of plotting a racist mass shooting at a Hindu temple outside Chicago will get his hormone injections in jail while he awaits trial, a judge ruled.
A Cook County judge ordered Alexandros Paporakis held without bail Wednesday — but added a healthcare order, noting that the accused would-be terrorist takes hormone injections for gender transition, among other drugs, NBC Chicago reported.
In addition to his transition injections, Paporakis is being treated for ADHD, depression, and anxiety, the judge revealed.
Paporakis, a Taco Bell cashier from Palatine, was arrested Sunday after cops learned of an alleged plot to shoot up the largest Hindu temple in Aurora, a suburb of Chicago.
His coworkers told cops about concerning messages from the teen, including a document outlining the alleged plot and photos of tactical gear.
They said he openly identified a white supremacist and couldn’t wait to kill Indian people, prosecutors said.

A raid at his home turned up AR-style rifle without a serial number, loaded magazines and ammunition, a gas canister labeled with a slur aimed at South Asians, and a several items depicting Nazi symbolism, police and prosecutors said.
The teen — who faces felony charges of making a terrorist threat and unlawfully possessing weapons — allegedly left behind a manifesto describing Indians, Jews and black people as “subhumans” and outlined a plot to kill as many of them as possible.
He allegedly described himself in the manifesto as “a sociopathic white supremacist Neo Nazi filled with hatred, fantasizing about mass murder nearly every day.”
A judge ruled Wednesday that Paporakis will remain in jail. He is next scheduled to appear in court Oct. 30.
