Eagles sign Joe Milton away from Cowboys after Jalen Hurts injury stunner
The Eagles are adding some insurance under center.
Philadelphia has signed quarterback Joe Milton off the Cowboys’ practice squad, according to multiple reports.
Milton appeared in four games for Dallas in 2025, throwing for 183 yards on 24 attempts with one touchdown and two interceptions.
He made headlines during the preseason in August after a three-touchdown game against the Cardinals.
Milton was waived by the Cowboys on Sept. 1 and placed on their practice squad two days later with Sam Howell being named the backup for Dallas.
Milton will likely join Tanner McKee and rookie Cole Payton on the Eagles’ active roster.
The move comes after news broke Thursday that Hurts would be out indefinitely with a superficial blood clot.
McKee will likely be the Eagles’ starter for the time being.
