Prince Harry insists he wants to reconcile with Prince William — but claims ‘some people don’t want to’ resolve issues
Prince Harry insisted that he wants to reconcile with his brother, Prince William, but noted that “some people don’t want” their family issues to work out.
“I want it to work out. Of course I do,” the Duke of Sussex said in an interview with GQ published Tuesday. “With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile. That’s the key point.”
Harry told the interviewer that he “of course” grieves being estranged from his older sibling.
“Again, another massively relatable issue for so many people,” he explained. “There’s siblings disagreements. Broken relationships between kids and their parents. That continues to come with me the whole time with people I speak to.”
“So I know how relatable it is,” Harry said. “That’s probably why there’s so much fascination.”
The “Spare” author encouraged people to “let go of the past” to heal rifts with their family.
“If there’s certain things from the past that are still affecting your everyday, that’s harder to let go of,” he shared, adding, “But for me, there’s enough drama in the world and enough drama in people’s lives than to continue with issues with family. It’s not worth it.”
