Call the babysitter — major airline and cruise line team up for adults-only deal

Travelers are hanging up their “Do Not Disturb” signs as they line up for kid-free vacations.

JetBlue and Virgin Voyages are cashing in on tired parents with their new offer — child-free getaways. The two powerhouses have teamed up to deliver moms and dads a much-needed break with their first-of-its-kind experience.

Starting today, travelers can secure their spot on the exclusively adult escape from airport gate to shipping port. The blissfully unaccompanied passengers will hop on an 18-and-older, chartered JetBlue flight that takes off from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport — landing in Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Folks will then be transferred to PortMiami, where priority boarding is included.

Adults will then board the adults-only cruise on Virgin Voyages’ latest ship — the Brilliant Lady for a four-night escapade from March 4 through the 8 next year.

“People have wanted this kind of kid-free from takeoff to sail away for a long time, and now it actually exists,” said CEO of Virgin Voyages, Nirmal Saverimuttu. “Virgin Voyages has always been the adults-only, award-winning name at sea, and JetBlue brings that same spirit to the air. Put the two together, and this is just the start of what we can build.”

Here’s all the perks that the child-free vacation gives customers, according to the two travel brands:

  • Access to JetBlue’s BlueHouse at JFK — the New York take on its airport lounge — on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Round-trip JetBlue flight from New York’s JFK to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International (FLL)
  • An in-flight toast, courtesy of Virgin Voyages, to celebrate the start of the kid-free getaway
  • Seamless, private roundtrip transportation between FLL and PortMiami, with luggage handled
  • Priority boarding through Virgin Voyages’ exclusive RockStar entrance and lounge access
  • A private onboard Welcome Party complete with a special Do Not Disturb cocktail
  • A $100 Bar Tab per cabin
  • Exclusive in-cabin surprise and delights

The brands have also thrown in a $50 onboard credit to 10 lucky travelers that can be used towards Shore Things, a mud bath in the Thermal Suite, or whatever your inner adult wants.

According to the travel company’s, the Do Not Disturb package — including round-trip, kid-free JetBlue flights, the Virgin Voyages sailing and exclusive VIP experiences and add-ons throughout the journey — is $2,750 for two.

And that includes taxes, fees and gratuities. Bookings for the package are now open but limited to 60 cabins. To secure your spot, travelers can make reservations by calling JetBlue Vacations at 1-844-528-2229.
