Nick Reiner’s lawyer asks for money from late parents’ trust to buy jail essentials: ‘Quality of life issue!’

Nick Reiner’s legal team is asking a judge to release $300 from his family’s trust to cover basic commissary items while he remains behind bars awaiting trial for the murders of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.

During a hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, attorneys for the 33-year-old requested that the relatively small amount be deposited into his jail commissary account while the larger dispute over his trust fund remains unresolved.

One attorney described the request as a “quality of life issue,” stressing that the $300 was a small amount compared to the much larger sum at the center of the ongoing legal battle.
