Kris Jenner flips out over decades-old affair being exposed in Kim Kardashian’s new biography
Kris Jenner allegedly “flipped out on camera” after finding out her past affair is included in a new biography about her daughter, Kim Kardashian.
“Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future” author Jonathan Van Meter, who has extensively spent time with the reality-famous clan, said in a new interview that Kardashian had called him “late at night” a few months ago.
When asked if any of the Kardashian-Jenner family members had read the book — which is slated for release Oct. 27 — the author answered that Kim had “been at Khloé’s house, where Khloé told her Kris had flipped out on camera while they were filming the show,” referencing Kim’s younger sister.
He recounted Kim telling him that Kris was yelling, “Why did Kim drag us all into this? Why is my affair from 30 years ago in the book?”
Van Meter claimed that “two days later,” the matriarch “was fine.”
But, he added, “It’s going to be on the show,” referencing the family’s Hulu series — now in its eighth season, “The Kardashians.”
The author claimed the Skims founder said to Kris, “All this stuff gets written about us, and then a guy comes along who gets us and wants to explain us. Why wouldn’t you want that?”
Van Meter added, “That’s the closest I got to an answer about why she did the book,” referencing the reality star’s participation in the biography.
A rep for Kim and Kris did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on Friday.
While the biographer doesn’t name names, Kris previously disclosed an extramarital relationship with Todd Waterman back in 1989, during her marriage to Kim’s father, the late Robert Kardashian.
Kris — who was married to the O.J. Simpson defense attorney from 1978 to 1991 and shared kids Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and Rob Kardashian Jr. with him — has confessed deep regret for the months long relationship.
“I think that I fell into a situation where I thought that the grass was greener somewhere else,” Kris said during a 2023 episode of the series, when asked by Khloé why she cheated on their father.
“And I made a huge mistake,” she continued, adding, “That’s like my life’s biggest regret.”
Robert Sr. died in September 2003 at the age of 59 after a brief battle with esophageal cancer.
Kris, now 70, went on to marry the former Bruce Jenner in 1991 before separating in 2013. Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, who publicly came out as transgender in 2015, welcomed daughters Kendall Jenner, 30, and Kylie Jenner, 29, during their union.
