Ex-Long Island college professor allegedly raped female student on campus: cops
A former Farmingdale State College professor allegedly raped and choked a female student on the school’s campus, according to court documents.
Antoine Munfakh, 44, allegedly groped the woman’s breast, strangled her with her own lanyard and forced her to perform oral sex on him inside his car in the SUNY school’s parking lot around 2:48 p.m. on Oct. 15, according to court documents by The Post.
School officials condemned the alleged attack and credited the immediate response by authorities.
“Farmingdale State College takes all matters involving the health, safety, and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff with the utmost seriousness,” the school said in a statement to Newsday.
“We are thankful for the partnership of the Suffolk County Police Department, who immediately alerted Farmingdale State College (FSC) University Police upon receiving the 911 call,” the statement continued.
“FSC University Police swiftly responded to assist our student and provide immediate care.”
Munfakh, of Freeport, worked as an adjunct professor in the suburban school’s Aviation Administration Department from August 2024 until June 2025, the outlet reported.
The mostly commuter school, located in Babylon, is home to roughly 10,000 students.
The ex-instructor pleaded not guilty to first-degree sexual abuse, third-degree rape and criminal obstruction of breathing, court records show.
“Mr Munfakh adamantly denies the allegations and looks forward to proving his innocence,” Scott Leemon, Munfakh’s attorney, told The Post.

He posted $20,000 cash, a $40,000 insured bond, and a $200,000 partially secured surety bond to secure his release.
Munfakh is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 4.
The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and Farmingdale State College did not immediately respond to The Post’s requests for comment.
