Legendary USC receiver unloads on ‘f—ing joke’ Trojans after Lincoln Riley’s latest disaster
The pressure is mounting on USC head coach Lincoln Riley, and the results aren’t meeting expectations.
After the Trojans suffered a devastating loss on the road to the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday night, Keyshawn Johnson released a 2 two-minute, 42-second video of him calling USC a “F—ing joke.”
“Enough is enough,” Johnson said after calling out Riley and the Trojans.
Johnson opened up the video and said all he could do is “sit here and laugh.”
“We really just lost to Wisconsin. Not only did we lose, we got run out of the building,” Johnson said.
Johnson went on to call out the poor performance of the Trojans offense on Saturday after they scored one touchdown in the second quarter of a 24-7 loss to Wisconsin.
The Trojans offense finished the game throwing for 258 yards from quarterback Jayden Maiava, who completed 31 of 50 passes with two interceptions, while the USC offensive line gave up five sacks.
USC’s running game had its worst performance of the year, as they combined for -17 rushing yards, while running back King Miller ran the ball 11 times for eight yards.
Johnson said he was sick of what he was watching with USC and started to talk about how well UCLA — who just improved to 7-0 with wins against Oregon, Wisconsin, and Michigan State — under first-year head coach Bob Chesney.
He also congratulated Wisconsin’s head coach.
“Congratulations, Luke Fickell. Coach Fickell, you did an amazing job. You really did. You and your staff put it together,” Johnson said. “Hopefully you get one of these real Power-5 jobs. …Right now, maybe you could be our head coach.”
Johnson went on to say that he respects Riley and likes him, but thinks a divorce between him and the program is needed.
“We gotta recognize and understand that, and make some tough decisions,” Johnson said. “Sometimes tough decisions have got to be made. Whether you want to whether you don’t. They gotta be made.”
At the end of the video, Johnson went on to call for the USC financial boosters, administration, and “financial people” to make the tough decision on Riley.
If USC chooses to move on from Riley, they would be expected to buy him out at $70 million.
